Shanicka Vail House is the wife of Virginia native, and worship artist, Chris House, the mother of Raegan Leigh and Rhian Elise, and she is the only daughter to Samuel and Patricia Walthour. Raised in the small town of Screven, Georgia servant-hood was instilled in her from a very young age. As an encourager, Shanicka’s Grandmother, Ruth, taught her to not be ashamed of serving, because even in serving others, you’re really serving God.

A creative soul, Shanicka always had a love for writing, acting, music, and art; however, she also had an extreme love for people and service. In 2000, she went on to major in Sociology with a minor in African American Studies at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia with a focus on social work. After graduating from VSU, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

There Shanicka partnered with the dReam Center church of Atlanta, where Bishop William H. Murphy, III is the Lead Pastor. It was there that she was graced to merge her love for God, her love for writing, acting, music, and service by serving on the CONTAGIOUS Worship and Arts Ministry as a part of the praise team, while simultaneously serving as the CONTAGIOUS dRama Ministry leader. Shanicka was also graced to travel the country serving as personal assistant to Motown Gospel recording artist, Tasha Cobbs.

Shanicka carries an umbrella she calls "One House". It is the business that covers all that she is passionate about. There is the publishing company where she self-publishes her books, One House Publishing. "My TransParent (MOM)ents" is where she connects with, does events for, encourages, and shares her life with other MOMs.  "Assistance to The Assistants" is where she assists, affirms, and accepts assistants for mentorship. Although no longer personally assisting, she has committed to serving assistants so that they can effectively (and efficiently) serve others.

Humbled to serve and assist in many different capacities, Shanicka still holds fast to her Grandmother’s teaching, and is extremely grateful for God’s continued faithfulness to honor her gift of service.
